With 30 years’ experience in advertising and marketing, Darla Chapman Ripley – a fifth- generation Dallasite and eighth-generation Texan – has a passion for the field. In today’s digital age, cross-channel multimedia integrated marketing has never been more important, exciting or rewarding.
Darla’s love of marketing began at the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising. After working for several years as an advertising manager for a Houston magazine, Darla moved back to Dallas with her family. As a Highland Park native and Highland Park High School graduate, she knew its excellent school system would benefit her children as much as it did her.
Merging her love of horses with marketing, Darla earned her MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas and launched her own business as a breeder and owner, marketing her horses and clients’ horses around the world. After two decades in the international equine industry, Darla sold the last of her herd and returned to magazines, publishing two titles that target the luxury lifestyle and travel markets.
Marketing high-end homes, farms, and ranches was a natural evolution for Darla. Whether she is helping her clients find, buy or sell property, she understands their needs and goals, devises the appropriate strategy and successfully implements it.
Strengthening Darla’s network reach and success rate is her inclusion in BFSIR’s Jobst Randall Group. The 5 member group, led by Madeline Jobst and Ralph Randall, is a 2018 winner of D Magazine’s Best Real Estate Agents and Top Producers awards.
Darla is a lifetime member of Texas Exes, the alumni association of UT Austin, and a Kappa Alpha Theta alumnae member. She is a Junior League of Dallas Sustainer, a member of the Dallas Museum of Art and a member of the Equest Women’s Auxiliary. She was an Equest board member from 1996 to 2002 and has been on the board of governors of the Texas Arabian Breeders Association since 1994.
